		<description>Thanks for the post, though I am really annoyed why MS decided not to use simple convert and cast in SSIS, also &quot;LEFT&quot; is not available, I just needed YYYY-MM-DD format and I had to use two &quot;REVERSE&quot; and a &quot;RIGHT&quot; to achieve what I could have achieved out of one &quot;LEFT&quot;.

		<description>Thank you for the expression to get the YYYYMMDD format!!!! I&#039;ve been going out of my mind for hours trying to get this format. Stupid error messages when trying to use the convert function in an SSIS package are really annoying!!!!</description>
